Our mechanical seals are delivered to two main areas. One is for manufacturers of equipment such as pumps and agitators to incorporate it into their own rotating equipment. The other is end users, which range from oil refining, food manufacturing, and sewage bureaus. Tanken also focuses on after-sales service and has established a specialized department specializing in the design of mechanical seals for end users. I work here and am mainly responsible for designing designs that meet end-user demands for improved performance and proposing modifications to existing products.
If a part is discontinued and no longer available for purchase on the market, your operations will be affected. Therefore, we play an important role in sketching obsolete parts made by other companies and redesigning them for conversion into Tanken products.
Special shop with all kinds of parts
I think it might be easier to understand if you compare it to a car. Dealers cannot perform maintenance or repairs on vehicles other than the ones they sell. On the other hand, if you go to a specialty store, you can get car models other than those sold. Our company is like a special shop for the latter.

Tanken conducts everything from research and development of carbon materials to technical development, design, production, and sales of mechanical seal parts. Taking advantage of this strength, we propose parts that are even more durable and performant than the manufacturer's genuine products, and repair damaged parts.
Supporting each and every request
In this way, the user service department always keeps in mind the principle of the 3 principles: "on-site," "real objects," and "actual circumstances," and by providing high-quality services with flexibility, we support "customer safety continuous operation."

When a problem occurs, we collect the parts, conduct an overhaul, and then create a report based on the results and submit it to the customer. The most rewarding part of my job is when I can confirm that the part I was considering modifying is actually manufactured and working without any problems.
A workplace where the products are tough but the atmosphere is soft
When you hear the word mechanical seal, you may get the impression that it is hard. However, once you step inside, the company has a very soft and friendly atmosphere.

When I first joined the company, I didn't know anything and felt anxious. However, my seniors taught me everything from the basics of the company to how to proceed with work and knowledge about products. No matter which department you ask a question, they will answer with enthusiasm, and if you have a problem, they will help you, so you can work with peace of mind.

MESSAGE
There are many parts, so you can enjoy the real thrill of design.
I applied to TANKEN SEAL SEIKO because I was interested in technical design and wanted to be involved in design work using CAD software. The deciding factor for me to join Tanken was that it has a rich product lineup and allows me to fully experience the real thrill of design.

Tanken is a group company with overseas bases in Shanghai and Singapore. In my overseas work, I was in charge of translating mechanical seal instruction manuals into Chinese. Since my native language is Chinese, I am looking to expand my business globally to meet the needs of Chinese customers.

If you are interested in manufacturing or designing, please rest assured that we will support you after joining the company! Let's start slowly by learning the tasks.
