Our company was established as Carbon Research Laboratory for the purpose of research and development of carbon products for machines.
Showa 34 (1959) 5
Renamed to Sekiken Kogyo Co., Ltd. and made a leap to become a specialized manufacturer of industrial mechanical seals.
Showa 39 (1964) 5
Reorganized with Sekiken Seiko Co., Ltd. to put the production of large mechanical seal units (for stirrers) on track and establish a nationwide technical service network.
Showa 48 (1973) 4
Completed a mass production plant for carbon products for machinery in Tatsuno Town, Nagano Prefecture.
Showa 57 (1982) 3
Completed a material center for carbon products for machinery in Chigasaki City, Kanagawa Prefecture.
Showa 61 (1986) 1
Opened Niigata Office in Yoshida Town, Niigata Prefecture to expand seal maintenance business.
Heisei 2 (1990) 10
Completed the Yoshikawa NC Center as a mass production factory for precision and metal products in Yoshikawa Town, Niigata Prefecture (currently Joetsu City).
Heisei 5 (1993) 10
The company name will be changed to TANKEN SEAL SEIKO Co., Ltd., aiming to be a "support service for user safety continuous operation".
Heisei 8 (1996) 12
Obtained ISO9001 certification.
Heisei 9 (1997) 9
General / construction industry (machinery / equipment installation work) Tokyo license.
Heisei 16 (2004) 2
Obtained ISO14001 certification.
Heisei 19 (2007) 11
Opened Kamaishi Office in Kamaishi City, Iwate Prefecture, and started manufacturing Mechanical seal products.

Opened a local subsidiary in Shanghai, China.

Opened a local subsidiary in Singapore.

Nippon Pillar Industry Co., Ltd. acquired 100% of the shares of our parent company and made our company a sub-subsidiary.
