T.S. (Services and Carbon Department, Carbon Technologies Section)

Service & Carbon Division Carbon Technology Section
T.S

1. Please give a concrete answer about your current job.

I am in charge of all themes related to carbon technology, such as material design of carbon materials, optimization, rationalization, and automation of carbon manufacturing processes.Since carbon is an indispensable material for mechanical seals, the role played by the Carbon Technology Division is important.
In addition to carbon, when a problem occurs at the customer's site, we will strive to investigate the cause by conducting chemical analysis, tissue observation, physical property measurement, etc.
It's easy to think that it's a quiet department, but we support our customers' safety continuous operation support services behind the scenes.

2. Please give a word to everyone who is looking for a job.

I enjoy my work!
No no, even if you say that... You might think, but I'm really enjoying it. When you become a member of society, you spend a huge amount of time in your life working. The lifetime working hours are 10 hours. This time is the same whether you spend your time lethargic, work reluctantly, or enjoy yourself with all your might. If so, don't you think you should enjoy it?

3. Why did you choose TANKEN SEAL SEIKO as your place of employment?

I majored in catalytic chemistry when I was a student, and was interested in carbon materials and powder technology. Therefore, I was looking for a job focusing on the carbon and powder industries. Among them, I chose TANKEN SEAL SEIKO because it was the only company that clearly answered "Yes, I can." To my question "Can you research carbon?"

4. What is your most memorable job since joining the company?

This is the first year of joining the company, on-site training at a carbon manufacturing plant.
You can study carbon! I joined the company with excitement. However, the proposal was a training plan to experience many departments such as quality control, design, and sales. In response, I disagreed, "I came to this company to learn carbon!" When I think about it now, it was quite cheeky (laughs). The following month, I was able to work at a carbon manufacturing plant in Nagano Prefecture, fulfilling my wishes.
I experienced all the manufacturing processes such as compounding, crushing, granulation, molding, firing, and processing, and it was a year in no time. I am still working with respect and gratitude to the people in the field because I experienced the hardships in the field.

5. What is the appeal of TANKEN SEAL SEIKO?

We are focusing on training engineers. For example, attending seminars and academic societies, acquiring qualifications, etc. You can improve your skills steadily depending on yourself. When I was a student, I only had a driver's license, but now I have acquired qualifications such as "mechanical design engineer" and "training engineer" that are useful even when I go outside. In addition, since I am working on new tasks every day across other departments with my seniors and colleagues who have a wealth of knowledge, I naturally acquire a wide range of knowledge.
